Definitely, it’s a matter of proud for India that
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s wax statue will soon be crafted in the famous
Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London. Interestingly, the museum’s team of
artists and experts has already taken the measurements at PM Modi’s residence
in New Delhi. Moreover, Modi will be dressed in his signature kurta-pyjama
along with a jacket posing in namaste
gesture.

The unveiling ceremony is expected to be held in the month of April.

The famous wax museum crafted the wax statue
of Bollywood super star Amitabh Bachchan in London in the year 2000. After that
many Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Salman
Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have got
their wax statues crafted in the museum.

Apart from Bollywood celebrities, Indian
politicians Mahatma Gandhi and Indira Gandhi and Indian master blaster
cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s wax statues are also crafted in the museum.
According to the museum’s spokesperson it
takes 4 months time to craft a wax statue and costs around Rs. 1.42 crore.
Madame Tussauds museum which was opened in the year 1836, has also released a YouTube
video showing the size measurement of PM Modi.
The museum which already has its branches
around the world in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok is planning to
open a new branch of Madame Tussauds in Indian capital New Delhi as part of the
India-U.K. Year of Culture in the year 2017.
