Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive Movie Review: A Rib Tickling Comedy Film With An Extra Tadka Of Manish Paul

Rating: 2.5/5
Genre: Comedy Drama
Runtime: 110 mins
The Bollywood comedy film ‘Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive’ is a sequel to 2010 sleeper hit ‘Tere Bin Laden’. The film is directed by Abhishek Sharma and stars Manish Paul, Pradhuman Singh, Sikander Kher and Piyush Mishra. Although, the stories of both the films are linked, they are not in continuation.
The story of the film is based on the operation ‘Osama Dead or Alive?’ As the U.S. claims Osama Bin Laden’s mysterious death, there are counter reports claiming that he is alive. Amidst the two sets of beliefs, lies the plot of the film. Moreover, there are a number of funny and forced situations to keep you entertain through out of the film.
The film kick starts the story as loud and rasping in which Manish Paul, a Chandni Chowk halwai’s son wants to give wings to his dream of making a career in cinema instead of joining hands to his father’s business. TV host turned actor Paul plays his role with much ease and steals the show with his natural kinship for humor. His comic timing with Pradhuman, the fake Obama is just perfect and the duo manages to keep the audience hooked to their seats for the entire length of the show. Sikander Kher plays the CIA agent brilliantly in the first half and switches to a new avatar outstandingly as a Hollywood producer in the second half.
As the lead actors stand out remarkably, the supporting actors don’t shine much. Piyush Mishra in the role of a local terrorist leader Khalil seems funny (or we can simply blame the script which didn’t give him enough room to act and impress) while Ali Zafar’s cameo actually serves as a diversion from the main plot.

Yes, of course, there was a challenge to rule over the prequel, the film ‘Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive’ kept itself more silly. Watch it for Manish Paul’s rib tickling one-liners and humorous act!!!
