‘Sanam Re’ Movie Review: A Yet Another Love Story Featuring Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam

Director Divya Khosla Kumar might have never thought the way his film turned out to be. The romantic drama film ‘Sanam Re’ features handsome hunk Pulkit Samrat along with gorgeous girls Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela in main roles. Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor plays a crucial cameo role.
The story of the film is just a repeated show with an all new brand-wagon. The young and ambitious Akash (Pulkit Samrat) from Himachal leaves his hometown Tanakpur and heads towards the city of dreams Mumbai to fulfill his dreams. The poor lad gets struck in the corporate sector and finds no time even for his mother. Meanwhile, Akash gets a call from home to come and help selling off the dilapidated photo studio. The studio that once belonged to his sick grandfather (Rishi Kapoor) comes with mesmerizing flash back memories to cherish upon.
Again the story takes a U-turn and reaches to Canada, where Akash has come to get an important contract for his company. He has to persuade Akansha (Urvashi Rautela) to get the job done. And in all these tantrums he once again finds his old lady-love Shruti. Once again the love blossoms and the story is filled with forced jokes and love sacrifices to come to an end.
The only thing which sooths our mind, body and soul is the film’s melodious music by a team of music maestros Mithoon, Jeet Ganguly, Amaal Mallik and Epic Bhangra. Title track by Arijit Singh makes you remember your old love for sure.

The plane performance by main leads and predictable story-line just keep the film out-of-reach from being a box-office hit.
