Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda always performs
by going deep into the skin of the character and you once again can watch the
extremist actor in Omung Kumar’s upcoming biopic ‘Sarbjit’. Omung strictly
wanted an actor who could go through a rigorous weight loss, as was the demand
of the script. Randeep went beyond his limits and shed 18 kgs of weight just in
28 days. Moreover, he even lived merely on water to get the lean and frail look
of a prisoner. Kudos! To the actor for his unmatched spirit.
The story of the film is based on the real
life story of an Indian national Sarbjit Singh, who unknowingly crossed the
border and entered into Pakistan from his village. Later, he was convicted of
spying and series of bomb blasts in Faisalabad and was sentenced to life
imprisonment by the court. Two years back, he was killed by his fellow inmates
in the Lahore jail. The film will be showing Randeep in many looks as the story
spans over 23 years of Sarbjit’s life.
Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are
playing the lead roles as Sarbjit and Dalbir Kaur respectively in the film
which is coming in theatres on 20th May.
