Indian actor and producer Jimmy Shergill has
worked in a number of Hindi and Punjabi films. Jimmy was born in Deokahia
village in U.P. and then moved to his ancestors’ place, Punjab. The handsome
hunk came to Mumbai to try his luck in film industry and then there was no
looking back.
Jimmy started his Bollywood career in the
year 1996 with Gulzar’s ‘Maachis’, a film based on terrorism in Punjab.
Although the talented actor has done a variety of roles in different films, he

Yahaan (2005)
Jimmy Shergill played the role of an army
officer Aman in Shoojit Sircar’s debut film based on terrorism in Kashmir. Although
the film didn’t do well at the box office, critics claimed it to be a must
watch due to its great story. The on-screen chemistry between Jimmy and Minissha
was also at par and was considered one of the best in that year.
Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003)
Director Raj Kumar Hirani’s comedy film did
wonder at the box office in which Jimmy played the role of a cancer patient
Zaheer. The talented actor played a wonderful performance and got appreciation
for his small but power pact role.
A Wednesday (2008)
Jimmy Shergill played the role of a cop Arif
Khan in the thriller drama film directed by Neeraj Pandey. Jimmy did a fantastic
job by showing his heart throbbing acting skill and also won the Star Guild Awards
for Best Actor in A Supporting Role for this film.
Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster (2011)
Jimmy played the role of Raja, husband of
beautiful Raani played by Mahi Gill in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s romantic thriller
drama film. The film is known for its bold plot packed with conspiracy,
infidelity and desire between the three – a stunning Raani, her husband Raja
and a young man Babloo.
Tanu Weds Manu (2011)
Anand L. Rai’s romantic comedy brings Jimmy
in a villainous character again in the role of Raja. The talented actor plays a
possessive lover of Tanuja (Kangana Ranaut) and impresses as ever. The film did
so well that a sequel ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ was also released in the year 2015.
