Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur will be seen in their upcoming serious film Airlift, based on the biggest human evacuation in the history of mankind during the Gulf war of 1990 between Iraq and Kuwait. Moreover, with the successful films like Holiday and Entertainment, the year comes quite lucky for the ‘Khiladi’ Kumar. The action hero is now all set to thrill his fans in the role of a flourishing Indian business tycoon Ranjit Katyal, based in Kuwait.
The film is directed by Raja Krishna Menon and produced by T-series which has earlier given films like Baby and D Day. The trailer of the film is really fascinating as it portrays the events in a real time view and going to hook viewers to the edge of their seats.
Airlift is the story of all those 1,70,000 Indians who were brought home in the most victorious evacuation in the history of the world. In addition to, it is the story of a person who helped his countrymen to live on the Iraqi attack. Further, all of them travelled a long journey of thousand kilometers across the border into Amman, Jordan, from where the Indian government flew above 488 Air India flights to evacuate all of them safely to home.
