Kapoor and Sunny Singh
Pyaar Ka Punchnama was released in the year 2011 with all
new anti romcom story plot, a real and mad experiment which got to be a hit
among the urban audience. The film is back with its sequel Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2,
all set to make a bashing entry with the same plot including new and additional
jokes. The sequel is coming after a decent gap of four years with two new
entrants Sunny Singh and Omkar Kapoor replacing Raayo S Bakhirta and Divyendu
Sharma.
The story of the film is again based on the three best
buddies and roomies (although Divyendu Sharma aka Liquid is missed this time)
Gogo, Thakur and Sidharth who fall for three different girls. All the three
pairs are then shown facing the situations that every guy in the cinema hall
would relate to at some point of their life and that is the best part of the
film.
The film is also supporting the one line mantra of
today’s Gen-Y – work hard and party harder. Although the entry of a girl
changes the mantra upside down and the plot of the film explains the same as and
when one of the girls objects paying his boyfriend’s hard earned money for the
dinner bill of his other mates and their girlfriends. The film also depicts the
mind-set of girls i.e. to take control of their boys and their decisions.
When it comes to acting, the squad makes a solid
on-screen performance with quite maturity and aplomb. The
child-artist-turned-actor Omkar Kapoor (Chhota Bachcha song famed) steals the
show on his name with his magnificent acting skills. His strip tease act with
Ishita is a sure-shot hit and will pop-up your eyeballs. Sunny brings on his exclusive
appeal and tries best to have a Divyendu hangover. Kartik, being in the first
part as well, is much confident in his 8 minute long monologue and deserves a
standing ovation. The girls are lovely and worked hard in their respective
roles bringing out the best in them.
All in all, the sequel is full of power punches to rock
the silver screen and make its mark. A must recommended for the ones who have
not seen the first part, and a must watch replay for the youngsters. Have a
blast!!!
